Calvary Church, located in Cordova, Tennessee, was in a need of an audio visual renovation. After checking several competing vendors the church chose to move forward with Elite Multimedia, Inc. (Elite) so that they could develop a relationship with a company that would aid them in making their vision come to fruition. Calvary’s worship space serves a dual function as their multipurpose venue for recreation and fellowship as well as their primary sanctuary. Elite designed acoustic treatment for the space which greatly improved the overall sound quality. Furthermore, Elite designed a new sound system, HD video projection, and lighting system for the project. Calvary had many goals to accomplish in this project including the need to record live. Elite recommended the Avid Venue Profile system with ProTools Tracking to accomplish this goal. With the additional need of keeping the stage quiet, Elite utilized the MyMix system as a tool for the musicians to control their mixes, thereby reducing on stage volume. The goal for the lighting system was to have a system that would add color to the stage and provide greater visual impact. Elite decided to use Jands Vista software as a control solution and supplemented Calvary’s pre existing computer with an M1 control surface for control simplicity. The video system was completely overhauled by incorporating a new iMac with ProPresenter software, which outputs distribution over Cat5, to dual 5,500 lumen Eiki projectors. The system was completed with new DaLite video screen displays.
